Well, my bloggy people, looks like I have something called Adrenal Exhaustion (formerly known as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome). Have any of you ever had that? It's where the adrenal glands (which are above the kidneys) become over worked because of prolonged stress in your life, and they fail to produce the correct amounts of hormones, which causes a whole list of yucky symptoms (many of which I have, but I'll spare you the details.)

Yay me! :) Sigh. . .

I swear-- if I live to tell the tales of surviving 5 years of law school, starting a business from scratch, foreclosing on a home, dealing with debt, negative bank accounts, and raising two kids with a husband who is usually gone, all at the same time, it will be a miracle. I know the Lord is a God of miracles, so I'm sure we'll make it. But it's my sanity I wonder about sometimes. . . and my health.

"Just keep swimming!"

Toothless

Emma's first loose tooth was loose for a long time (see above) but it just kept hanging on. Finally last week she was playing on the playground with some friends after school and she tripped. I think when she fell, it caused her tongue to thrust the tooth forward because she ran over to me crying and bleeding. We went into the classroom and I pulled it right out, and got her all cleaned up. She went from crying to laughing in about 3 seconds flat because she was so excited to have lost her first tooth. I could tell it suddenly made her feel very grown up. That night the tooth fairy came and brought her a silver dollar under her pillow. It's ironic, but it looks just like one that I got from the tooth fairy when I was little!

New Wheels

We visited grandpa Jeff at the Fire Station. . .

Cause he wanted to give Brooke some NEW WHEELS!

Walk for Autism

A couple weeks ago we went to Sonoma to join the Estes family in the Walk for Autism for their sweet little Sierra. It was a beautiful day and very inspiring to be involved in such an important cause. One in every 106 children are born with autism.

It's Annoying When. . .

It's annoying when you get all excited to bring home a super cute pair of heels from the thrift store that have probably never been worn and you tell your sister about them, and she realizes they are the ones she donated last week, and would have given you them for FREE!

Lesley's Temple Day

Oakland, CA

Lesley went through the temple for the first time a couple weeks ago and we got to be there for it! It was a beautiful experience. I felt so strongly the spirit of family and friends and how important those connections are and will be in eternity. Words cannot describe that warm feeling in your heart-- that feeling of love-- which is ultimately the feeling of the love of Christ.

We went out to Chevy's afterwards and had some good laughs.

CONGRATS LES!

MY CONFESSION

My name is Cristi and I am, was, a sugar addict. I have significantly decreased my sugar intake over the last 3 weeks. I was inspired by my hottie sister Carli who went on a medical fasting program where she drank only special shakes for 4 months and lost 70 pounds!!! She eats so healthily now which made me examine what I eat and after being very honest with myself, I realized I eat WAY too much sugar. Now that I've cut out all candy, chocolate, ice cream, cookies, cake, soda, juice, white pasta, white rice, and white bread, I feel FABULOUS!!! The sugar was causing my blood sugar to spike which told my body I had plenty of energy coming in so it could start storing fat. That's why even though I was working out 3-5 times a week, nothing was happening, and I really wanted to lose 5 lbs for the Summer. Well, guess what! With cutting out the sugar-- I've lost 6!!! Yippeee!!!
