Alan's company flew us out to AZ for their yearly company party! My mom watched the kids (THANK YOU!) and we had a great time. First we drove to the Mesa Temple to check it out! It's very unique!
Then we drove to Carefree, AZ where they had the party at a resort called The Boulders. It was one of the coolest placed I've ever seen! The resort had "Casitas" that were made to look like they blend in with the scenery, like they've always been there. When we arrived, the valet took our car and then they drove us to our "Casita" on a golf cart.
We used the fireplace and it was so cozy and nice to fall asleep with it burning.
The company party was nice. The first part of the night was centered around gambling and alcohol so we felt a little out of place, but there were so many nice people Alan introduced me to. Some of them were very complimentary of Alan and how he makes the websites look "beautiful." I thought that was really cool.
I liked this ice sculpture of the company logo. And the food and desserts were fantastic! They had a DJ and Alan and I slow danced. We don't do that very often so it was nice.
Checking out of the Resort.
The next day was Sunday. We had made arrangements to go to the ward of some friends we met when we went on a cruise to Mexico last year. He's a Bishop in Peoria and they have 8 kids. They had us over for lunch after church.
On the way to church we saw tons of hot air balloons just like this! It was stunning!
It was a wonderful trip but it was over way too quickly! We are very blessed that he has this job and I thank Heavenly Father every day!
