Brooke loves to color and draw and we are always encouraging her by telling her she's an artist. Today she and Emma were fighting over me. (I know-- I'm so popular). Emma said, "Brooke, she's MY mommy!" Brooke got really upset and started crying. Then she yelled, "No, Emma. She's MY mommy, and she's an art-itist!!"
Brooke showed her what was up!

Funny Emma
We have a hard time getting Emma to eat at meal time (or any time for that matter!) and yesterday she made us laugh with her stalling.
Me: "Emma, you need to finish eating right now."
Emma: "But mommy, I don't want to."
Me: "I'm not going to ask you again."
Emma: "But I'm taking a break. And breaks are an important part of life."

A Grandma's Craft Room-- An Exposé
[Prepare yourself for the images you are about to see may be disturbing]
Soaring Gas Prices; Conflicts in Tibet; Weapons of Mass Destruction. All pale in comparison to the issue about to be brought to light for the first time.
One Grandma (who will remain nameless) has a "craft room" (the location of which will remain undisclosed.) A young child was discovered yesterday, August 8, in this craft room making an effort to maneuver through it's treacherous terrain of fabric, ribbon, and other crafty-type materials when she was nearly engulfed by it's disorganized glory. Teams of trained experts have been working around the clock to retrieve the child from drowning in this sea of partially completed projects. Will she escape this cluttered craft-cave before it's too late? Updates to follow.

OUR SUITE
So last week we made the move to my parents' house to help us survive the rest of law school. But before you start feeling bad that we now have less space than before, you have to check this out. . .
Remember this computer generated image Alan created that I posted before on my blog?

Well, here's how it turned out:

Not too shabby, huh? MANY thanks to Uncle Mike and Auntie G who lent us their painting and decorating expertise! We had a blast with you! Having such a special space of our own has helped us look forward to this transition! (And it makes us want to start a show on HGTV!)
