Happy Mother's Day!
As I become older and hopefully wiser, I am more and more thankful for my Mom and all she has done for me for sooo many years! She has been a tender, kind, gentle, loving force in my life. I love you, mom!
Ain't she CUTE?
Here are some blasts from the past:
Easter, about 1995.
My 8th grade Graduation 1996.
Singing "Bucky" at Girls Camp.

Casa Grande Homecoming Football Game 1998.
Stake Dance, 2000.
My high school graduation, 2000.

Hawaii, 2000.
Mother's Week at Ricks College, 2001.
Celebrating our engagement at Mary's Pizza, 2001.
Our graduation from BYU Hawaii, 2003.
And of course, Happy Mother's Day to my Mother in Law Robin. Thank you for always being willing to give advice (we ask for it a lot!) and for your example of spiritual strength and wisdom.

My family got me this Edible Arrangement! Yum!

I Love to See the Temple
Our church building is right next door to the temple. We are so blessed that we get to meet there every week!

Vacation Part 1
Alan and I took a week vacation in April, just us. Mom and Carli came through for us once again and babysat all week, which included all the tasks of taking them to school and dance practice/ rehearsal on time, doing homework, making lunches, doing bath time/ bed time routine, etc. We are SO thankful they would do this for us!
I made the girls a medicine bottle of skittles called "Missing My Mommy Pills." It was reported to us when we got home that they ate all them, and Grandpa Jeff had a bunch because he said he misses his mommy, too.
Our first stop was Houston, Texas. At our hotel, they had a Texas-shaped waffle iron and Alan made me one. Of course we had to take photos and text them to Cori Ann since she's a Texan now. Unfortunately, we weren't in Texas long enough to make the 4 hour drive to Austin to see them. :(
In the half day we were there, we went to the Houston Space Center Museum where we learned all about the first moon landing in 1969 and lots of other space missions. It was fascinating! Seeing the photos and video people took looking back at earth really gives you a whole new perspective.
This area of the museum was made to show you what it would look like in a Space Shuttle, just floating around.
All the video of these guys going OUTSIDE of the space shuttle to fix things, put cameras in place, etc. freaked me out! If their cords came loose, they'd be floating to infinity and beyond! Crazy!

More about the rest of vacation in Part 2.

Family Picnic
I love when the weather warms up and we can go on family picnics! We went to Rodeo Park and played frisbee. It was the funnest day I've had in a long time. It reminded me of when Alan and I used to play frisbee when we were dating at Rick's college.
