As many of you know, we've struggled a lot over the last few years financially with Alan going to law school and other factors such as poor debt management and the bad economy. We've prayed long and hard for years that the Lord would help remove or lighten our burdens and help us provide for ourselves and even get out of debt.
I think He had a lot to teach us because it seemed like an eternity of struggling and learning before we finally caught a break. But this month Alan received not one but TWO job offers. GREAT job offers. The first offer was to make the contract job he's been working at for the last 3 months into a permanent position. The second offer was for a job he applied for here in Folsom. After weighing the options, he decided to take the job here in Folsom. Today was his first day and it felt like heaven to him to drive 10 minutes to work (instead 45 to Sac) and to be home before 6:00pm and not have to go to class. We even met today for a lunch date at Subway while the girls were in school. It was an amazing feeling to actually see each other before he went to work, at lunch, and in the early evening. I haven't seen him that much in a work day in probably 4 years. I mean he used to live at my sister's house 2 hours away from us during law school for crying out loud. We NEVER saw him.
So good things are happening at the Lindsay home. Today I even paid off those root canals we've been trying to pay off for 2 years. We are VERY thankful for all our blessings and the answers to our prayers, and we recognize who all the blessings come from.
