On Emma's birthday, we did a San Francisco day! We saw the Golden Gate Bridge and went to the Exploratorium.
Alan is such a fun, patient dad. He is willing to do these kinds of creative, thoughtful, scientific games and projects. He makes up for where I lack there.
We also went to Mary's Pizza Shack in Novato, like old times.
And while we were there, my sisters and I had to show our husbands and kids the house we lived in on Stasia Drive. I was 6 when we moved from this house to Petaluma. Cori was almost 8 and Carli was 2.
Our Grandma and Grandpa Conover lived just down the street from us. So many memories playing in that neighborhood, even until I was in 6th grade. There were several neighborhood kids with whom we played hide and seek, cops and robbers, board games, and house. Grandma would throw us the softball on her front lawn.
That night, we went back to my parents' house and Emma opened presents and we had cake!
Here are some random shots:
This is me with the kids on my birthday. 32! Alan took me out to an Italian restaurant in Shingle Springs while my parents babysat, then we all had a Mint Chip ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins. My fav!
While in CA, we got to go to one of Tyler's swim meets. It was exciting!

We also went to the Folsom Zoo. It was fun to be back in our old town:
We also went to the movies! Ryan slept thought most of it, but hey, ALL 7 grandkids were present!
