Silly Emma

The other day while we were eating lunch Emma was suddenly very distraught. She looked at me very seriously and asked, "Mommy-- Why don't I have any suction cups for climbing the wall!?" Don't those exist only in stuff like Mission Impossible movies? If I were more witty, I would have had a come back like telling her she climbs the walls just fine without suction cups!

Hi Cristi ~ It's Kat, I laughed out loud when I read this post - because it reminded me of a funny story from my now 11 year old son, Gary. When he was like 5 or 6, he kept leaping off of the couch and of course he'd hit the ground. He did this several more times before hanging his head in shame and he walked up to his dad and says, "I can't fly, dad. I'm sorry, but I can't" Like we all can and he was not able to yet. His dad laughed and picked up Gary, who by now was crying and they both ended up laughing together when dad says, "You will fly someday, son" Now when I tell him that story, he just laughs and laughs!!!
