Let's go fly a kite!

Alan's dad taught him a love for kite flying. He is now passing that to our kids.

Perry the Platypus

Brooke drew this Perry the Platypus. It makes me happy.

Alan took this with the lens he got me for Christmas. It's a telephoto lens so it zooms WAY in.

Fort Time!

Alan made a fort for the girls last Sunday after church. It was awesome. It took him about two hours.

I messed around with the new lens Alan got me for Christmas while we watched him work on the fort.

They had a blast sleeping in it together. They wanted to go to bed at 6pm because they though the fort was so cool. They also came down and asked if they could read scriptures just the two of them (without us). Soon we heard Emma reading to Brooke about the Nephites and Lamanites. It was super cute.

Happy Valentines Day!

Heart shaped pancakes for dinner!

And we all gave each other cards. Alan also gave me my favorite Ghirardelli caramel chocolate squares.

Indoor Soccer

Emma is loving indoor soccer! (Sorry for the glare!)

We have another bookworm in the family!

Brooke has really taken off with her reading the last couple of months. She never wants to stop! Right now she loves Magic Tree House and Junie B. Jones. She looks so grown up!

Emma is Marie Curie

Emma did a report and dressed up as Marie Curie for school. She was awesome!

This makes me happy!

"Life by the yard is hard; by the inch it's a cinch. Each of us can be true for just one day--and then one more and then one more after that--until we've lived a lifetime guided by the Spirit, a lifetime close to the Lord, a lifetime of good deeds and righteousness." Thomas S. Monson

Field Trip to the Sacramento Zoo

I got to ride the Cheese Wagon AGAIN this school year on another field trip with Emma's class. We went to the Sacramento Zoo! I was the chaperone for Emma and 4 of her friends.

They had a LOT of energy and we had a blast exploring!

I feel so blessed that I can go on these field trips with my girls and volunteer in their classrooms once a week. It is very important to me to be involved in their lives!

We had fun, even though a bird did poop on my head (the girls screamed when they saw it!) and it pooped on my jacket, my hand, and our Zoo scavenger hunt clipboard.
