To celebrate the last day of school, the girls swam at the Peterson's pool. Emma, Elise, and Abby also made life guard shirts since they helped with the giant Slip and Slide at Parker's birthday!

Alan's Birthday
Alan turned 36 this month! We got him his favorite treats and I made Tres Leches cake!
Alan is such a good dad. He even does things like curling Brooke's hair so I can sleep in with the baby in the morning. He even does it with a flat iron like I do!
Mother's Day
Alan and the girls gave me the best Mother's Day! I woke up and came out of my room to see Emma waiting for me. She started throwing home made confetti on me. She led me down the stairs where they had put down red blankets and such, like a red carpet for me. The girls were humming the graduation song and Alan was clapping. When I got down stairs, Brooke put a homemade crown on my head and they had me sit on a chair they said was my throne. They gave me chocolate, cards, and poems. And Alan gave me a big box. I opened it and inside was a new Ninja blender-- my other one recently broke. I was so excited! After church, he made me the dinner I wanted complete with his homemade Alfredo sauce on fettuccine, homemade bruschetta, and fruit salad. I felt very loved!
School Stuff
The girls helped me make necklaces for Teacher Appreciation week!
Brooke sewed this flag for her school project. And I helped. :)
Brooke with Madeline and Taegan
Emma got perfect attendance for the last term of school and she was on the principal's list for straight A's!
She also got a leadership award the term before that.
I also found this paper she wrote about herself for a school assignment and I think it's so cute!

Happy 36th birthday, Alan!
Alan will be 36 next week and in honor of that, I wanted to write down some things we've experienced in the last almost 13 years of marriage.
In 13 years we've lived in 6 different states. Combined we've worked 14 different full and part time jobs, tried 2 business start-ups, served in various callings in church, recorded 4 original songs, and earned 3.5 college degrees. Most importantly, we've created 3 beautiful children who are the center of our lives. I can probably count on one hand the number of days we haven't prayed as a couple or as a family. One thing I cannot calculate, however, is the growth I've experienced being married to Alan. We've endured humbling financial blows as well as bountiful blessings. We've weathered many changes and growing pains and we've enjoyed lots of laughter. The Lord has given us a beautiful life and for that I am profoundly grateful. I love you, Alan! Happy Birthday!
